Blessed Beginnings exists to walk alongside Christian mothers through every week of pregnancy — not with clinical detachment, but with faith, warmth, and the quiet assurance that they are not alone.
We believe pregnancy is a spiritual journey as much as a physical one. Every kick, every milestone, every anxious thought and joyful tear is held by a God who sees. This app is built to reflect that truth.
Early 2026, my wife FaceTimed me, excitingly sharing the good news that “We are pregnant”. I stopped, took a deep breath, and let the reality of the news sink in, “I am a father now”.
I felt as if I was not ready and that I have been irresponsible with my wife, and that the pregnancy is a consequence of it. I spent the next few hours in a flurry of condemning emotions about the situation and how “I am not ready”, but, I kept hearing in my mind, God is the only one who brings life. That thought flooded my mind then heart.
I decided that I will learn everything I needed to learn about pregnancy, how I can support my wife and how we can support and encourage the development of our baby. That night, I proceeded to learn and as a result stayed up all night creating a pregnancy tracking app. The best way I learn things is by creating something relevant to a subject. I had no idea on how I could be a dad or how I could support my wife, and how I could support her to nourish our baby. I made sure the pregnancy tracking app could simplify the process for us. Which it surely did.
Building it carried my wife and I, through the uncertainty of how to take care of our baby.
Unfortunately we went through a miscarriage, and our baby went to be with Jesus, about 1 month after we found out we were pregnant. I paused the development of the app, when we received confirmation that we miscarried. 4 months later, I heard a clear voice, along with an unction, to finish the development of the Blessed Beginnings app.
I want a mother and father to feel supported and encouraged. That Father God is the only one that brings increase and gives life. That their baby or babies are a gift from God and, because God gave them a baby, that God will provide for the baby and family.
And because this baby is a gift from God, we are to be faithful and responsive stewards of this gift, hence the app will connect the family to other Jesus-believing, Holy Spirit-filled families, who pray for each other and encourage each other and also, help each other. The app will remind you of your identity and solidify the word of God into your lives while reminding you that the Holy Spirit is in you and with you.
